Leos first time to the Beach!

When Leo was a few weeks old we dropped by the beach after breakfast one morning. It was bright and warm so we didn't stay long, but we dipped his tiny little toes in the sand for the very first time. It was the exact same spot next to the pier where his papa and I had laid out many times, played sand baseball and had many picnics. The same spot I took my very last Dear Baby photos when we were so anxious for his arrival. It all came full circle and we sat there as three! I can't wait until this summer when I can see him smile and hear his giggles as he watches the waves and seagulls all around him. Our boy sure does love the water!

Doggy Beach Day

A couple days ago we packed up the pups and went to the dog beach to watch the sunset. The dog beach is on the regular beach, only they have a very large coned of section that is designated for the dogs to roam. Most of the dogs that go there are very well trained and can stay within the cones, but TX Bentley had kind of a hard time grasping the concept. He did do better this time than the last time we went, so I will give him that. He mingled with the other dogs, sprinted through the sand back and forth between G and me, and even got down close to the water on his own. He loved it! LB was social and well behaved as always, but we've noticed a huge decrease in interest since getting him nuetered. He's still friendly with other dogs, he just seems to have a shorter attention span with them. He sniffed everyone out, ran around for a little while and then was just over it. Before he was the one to keep playing even after we'd call for him and tell him we were going bye bye. I love having a place other than the yard to let them run around and let some energy out, and it's a place we can enjoy too!

PS. Aren't those daddy/doggy footprints just the cutest!?

Long Beach Livin'

My life this week (more like the last two!) via iPhone photos:

1. All stocked up with Trader Joe's goodies is the very best
2. Marrying into a family of Italians who own a restaurant means the best tiramisu at anytime
3. Tx Bentley still very much attached to the bump at all times + 27 week belly
4. Took the blood glucose test. The drink was not so bad but I almost blacked out within the hour
5. Busted out the Apple Cider Vinegar for a tiny cold/sinus spell
6. Finally ran all the government errands needed to get my last name changed after our wedding almost half a year ago
7. I've been sore from prenatal workouts so I walked it out on the beach
8. I decided my first request after giving birth will be in & out. I'll be starving, right?!

Long Beach Livin'

My life this week via Iphone photos:
(More like the last couple of weeks because I'm a little behind over here!)

1. Waiting for the Mr. to get off of work with our favorite little shots! Isn't it just unfair the view he gets to walk out of work and see?!
2. I gave someone the dirtiest look for throwing something out of their car window, but felt so silly when I saw it was the paper man. Oops!
3. Gian made this basil & olive oil flatbread topped with smoked mozorella & spinach. It was delicious!
4. The annual pirate festival has started around these parts and I love the vibe.
5. I thrifted some floral lace and hung them for curtains.
6. This is 100% my absolute dream car as is. No changes. Perfection!
7. Mint window swoon. I want to do this to our home!
8. In love with this pretty cobalt tribal tile I found on a walk!
9. I finally remembered to get some polish on these toes of mine.
10. Tx Bentley loving an early morning car ride alongside the ocean.
11. Guac, smoked cheese & bacon burger at home.
12. I ran out of gas, walked home, loaded up my bike and rode to my car.
13. Had too much fun at my bestie's housewarming party!
14. Evening walks with all the boys! Love having Mr. home all afternoon now.
15. I can't believe I washed my car after 7 months! It happened.
16. Happy hour with the most handsome!

A trip to Florida: Part III

When we were in Florida we visited this little landmark called the Bonet House. It was the hand built home of a famous painter and his wife, who put every ounce of creativity and love into it that their 98 year old lives could possibly produce. I immediately fell in love with this property (how could you not?!) with its bright colored beach house vibe, hand painted ceilings, vintage carasale animals, large extravagant decor and statues brought back from travels around the world, acres of magical rainforest lands, wild talking birds, white swans, dozens of turtles, ginormous oak trees and palm trees, tiki huts, circus tents, and flower filled greenhouses. It had the perfect mix of royalty with it's fancy interior (sadly we weren't allowed photos inside), to it's tropical views of the ocean, and the large open shutters bringing in the salty sea breeze. We explored for hours and I'm lusting to go back for hours more. It really is something to see!

A trip to Florida: Part II

Some more photos from our wonderful week in Florida as promised! Seeing my dad, Gian's grandma and great aunt in Miami was such an additional highlight! I got to catch up on my mom's famous biscuits & chipped beef gravy too! I certainly am feeling like I'm livin' the good life, even our condo keys said so.

Still more to come! I told you there were tons.
