A new Harness

We got the Bentley's new harnesses over the weekend so it's more gentle on them when we're walking, instead of being pulled by their tiny little necks. We found some with lots of under body padding, and they seem to just love them! I think they like having anything snug around their bodies. TX Bentley has always gone crazy when he sees G start to fold up a bandana to put around his neck, and you can find LB Bentley wrapped tightly in a blanket when he's not eating or out on a walk. We took them to the dog park down the street and they were happier than ever. TX played fetch for a good hour, when usually he sits on the bench with us and just watches the other pups. We agreed that we love picking up little toys and treats and doing nice things for them now and then. It always puts a little pep in their step and makes us smile!

Long Beach Livin'

1. My hair is finally long enough for a high sockbun and I couldn't be more excited
2. The most heavenly donut/coffee shop in long beach
3. A few of our favorite Trader Joes pickups- The salmon dip is TO DIE
4. Puzzling together has become our nightly hobby- This one is taking us weeks
5. A delicious cheddar, chipotle, avacado burger topped with crispy fried onion rings
6. I fell in love with this avacado beach house while getting lost on one of my daily walks
7. We took a quick trip to Texas to make up Christmas and spend NY with our families
8. All TX Bentley does at the dog park is whine at our feet to get in our laps and watch the others- antisocial/people lover

Too Cute Tuesday: Dog Park

We took a trip to the dog park again today by bike, dogs in tow, and they absolutely love riding in our baskets. They just curl up in the blankets we stuff in there for padding, relax, and let the 30mph wind blow through their hair and flop their ears around, eyes half open and enjoying the warmth of the sun on their backs while we do all the hard peddling up and down these California hills. The life of a spoiled rotten pup. No but I love these trips. Bike riding is so much more fun with a little one in tow, and I feel like I have to be more careful and gentle on the bumps; My maternal instincts come out and I get super protective and pay more attention to my surroundings. Plus the dog park is only a 25 minute bike ride away and not only is it good exercise, it's a chance for me to enjoy the scenery a little more than I would be able to had I been driving a car, cause God knows I've almost slammed into many cars with my wandering eyes in this town. Less about the bike ride there, more about the actual dog park. Here is our trip in pictures:

Mister and TX Bentley have had such the cutest little bond lately. I'm in love with that picture of them together nose to nose! As always he kept running and jumping up in our laps instead of mingling with the other pups like LB Bent. That's okay with us though, we love cuddles and we know he still appreciates getting to go out and enjoy the sun and some fresh air!

Treat the Dogs Day

Today unintentionally became a day revolved around treating our little pups. We started with our usual early morning walk around the block, only we went a little further to check out the new pet store in town. They had a mixed doggy treat station that are all edible for humans as well! We tasted and the boys tasted and we picked up a pound of our favs. We also got them a few mini tennis balls that we've discovered are a thousand percent more preferred than any fancy smancy toy we've gotten them! We came home, packed up and headed off to the dog park! Long Beach Bentley took off immediately and greeted all the other dogs, and Tx Bentley hung back with us. They have such opposite personalities! Mister and little B had such cute bonding time in an hour long game of fetch (that was absolutely adorable to watch might I add.)
We stayed until they came and rested under our lawn chairs and then they got their special oatmeal and honey shampoo baths. We brushed them and dryed them and played a little more fetch, and then they were out like babies with long deep breaths. Days like these make my heart smile, and scare me to think of even more love we'll feel with our babies.
What do you do when you give your little pups a special day?
