Friday Finds

1 & 2. You can never have too much floral or too many plastic vintage plates. Throw them together and watch me have an excitement panic attack.
3. I've always known that I have a love for anything ivory and/or gold, but lately it's been catching my eye everywhere and I'm even more obsessed with it than ever before. It's even inspired a recent decor change in our home!
4. Ah this beauty. I was on the hunt for a typewriter so I could finish one last step on our wedding invitations before sending them out. I really didn't care what the condition or color, I just needed to squeeze a little use out of it one time. I really got the cherry on top when I stumbled upon this powder blue beauty at the first place I looked! Now I have a pretty display when I'm all done with it!

La-La-La-La-Lola

Mister and I tried out a local favorite for lunch today. It's a bright colored Mexican Diner called Lola's, mixed amoungst the wonderful vintage shops of Retro Row. We've passed it loads of times and the look of the place has always caught my eye, so I was super excited to see the inside! Turns out, it's the cutest sugar skull, tattoo themed, catholic decor havin' diner, with bright hair colored waitresses that have the most fun personalities! It became an instant favorite for us and we'll probably end up going weekly.
Even the bathroom is adorable!

Friday Finds: My favorite local Shop

Mister and I had the day off together today, and we decided early on that we were just going to go with the flow. We went a few blocks down to fourth street, where there's a strip several blocks long of top notch vintage shops that they call "retro row." There's one shop on this strip that takes the cake for me. It's a place I could spend hours exploring, a place that I could go to turn a frown upside down, a place that I would love to one day create in my own space, to call my own shop. They always have the best of the best and nothing less. It's a bit pricey, but I couldn't put a price on the feelings I get being surrounded floor to ceiling in these treasures! Here are some of the pieces I was swooning over today:
